We went to his work's Christmas party last night, which was all put on by his boss. Drinks, appetizers, and food were all on him- nice! It was neat meeting his boss finally, he's an incredibly nice guy- the party was a wonderful gesture. We left as we were finishing up our meals; the noise (we were in a bar), the cigarette smoke, and the crowd (I'm get very nervous in crowds) were really getting to me, plus my two drinks caused my head to feel like it was going roll off my shoulders, kind of a bad deal when said head was already afflicted with a recurrent bout of skull-pounding pain (this has gone on all week, I feel like I am getting sick) I was so relieved to get home to our quiet house (and I think Stephen was too)! We are not big party people.
We went to bed fairly soon after getting home, and I was hoping to sleep through the night, but [alas] I am up wide awake. I would enjoy my owl-tendencies much more if my husband was likewise. I think I'll go ahead and get his cupcakes made (homemade German chocolate!) so when I get up [this afternoon :/] I can ice them. Tonight we are meeting up with Chris and Kim at Texas Roadhouse to celebrate the day of Stephen's birth.
I used parentheses a lot in this post (I must be in a parenthetical mood).
